Green Up!
One of the things that makes Vermont such an amazing place to live is that we get to enjoy the stunning natural landscapes all around us. Unfortunately, sometimes those natural landscapes can become a bit littered (especially during the winter months when the snow provides a cover-up for all the roadside debris). This Saturday, May 5th, is Vermont's Green Up Day- a day dedicated to volunteers giving their communities and streets a little "spring cleaning". Green Up Day has been a Vermont tradition since 1970 and has now grown to over 15,000 volunteers annually collecting over 40,000 garbage bags full of trash!
